Summary

Ascend is a free browser game. It does not contain advertising, analytics, tracking, accounts, or in-app purchases. Game progress is stored on the player's device. Ascend makes an encrypted connection to Google Firebase only to read a public leaderboard.

Data stored on your device

Ascend stores game settings, progress, personal bests, collected lights, unlocked and equipped cosmetics, advancements, the current run, local leaderboard results, save information, and an optional pilot name in Chrome local storage. This information is used only to provide the game and remember progress.

Data sent over the internet

This release downloads public leaderboard entries from Google Firebase over HTTPS. It does not upload the player's pilot name, game progress, save code, or scores. Firebase writes are disabled in the extension and rejected by the database rules.

As with most internet services, Google may process basic network information such as an IP address when serving the public leaderboard. Google's handling of that service is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Sharing and sale

The publisher does not sell, rent, or share player data. Ascend does not use player data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or purposes unrelated to the game.

Retention and deletion

Local game data remains on the device until the player clears it or uninstalls the extension. Starting a New Game clears gameplay progress but may not remove every browser-managed record. Chrome normally removes extension-local data when Ascend is uninstalled.

Children

Ascend does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Players should not use a real full name as their pilot name.

Security

Ascend uses HTTPS for its limited network request. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Ascend's use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes

This policy may be updated when Ascend's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a new version is posted.

Questions or deletion requests can be sent to skyslabstudio@gmail.com. The publisher cannot delete data stored only on a player's device; the player can remove it by uninstalling Ascend or clearing the extension's site data.
